Biography Book Reports
Due: Monday Feb. 25,
2008
Read a biography. (Must be approved by teacher)
Come to school dressed
like your person would have dressed. Be creative with things you already have or can
easily borrow from a friend. Bring props that will enhance your
presentation. (30 points)
Oral Presentation - Give a two - three minute ORAL presentation
in "first person." You may use notes written on note cards for
reference. (You will NOT read from a report that you have
written.) We will perform in a living museum setting. (60 points – broken down as highlighted)
Introduce
yourself. Give a
sentence or two that tells what made you famous.
(When people hear your name, for what do they remember you?) (10 points).
Tell when you were born, mention one or two
things about your childhood and your education. (10 points).
Highlight the events in your life...in the order they
happened. Choose important dates to help you organize your thoughts. You
may use props and actions. (20
points)
Talk about your world and life view. What was your view of the
one and only true God and His Son? Did you think and live according to biblical
principles? How did you handle life’s struggles and successes? (You may
use other resources than your biography to help you think about this section.) (10 points)
Close your oral
presentation by informing the listener about the
books and authors you read to do your report. (10 points)
Model museum behavior and poise throughout the presentation time. (10
points)
