Welcome to high school!  Review of syllabus and class verse.  By Friday have a copy of the syllabus signed showing that you and a parent/guardian have read it, and you should have a 3-ring binder with required dividers, notebook paper, and pens that write blue or black.  Bring grammar book, vocabulary book, and Understanding Literature for tomorrow.

 

 .   Essay test over The Scarlet Pimpernel will be Monday.  Test: Be prepared to answer questions about the plot line, chronology, major characters and their importance in the novel, settings, and important dates--if any. Be prepared to write an essay giving a character sketch of a designated character to include physical and personality description.  Tell about three or four traits of the character and be able to use examples from the novel to show how the character exhibited these traits.  (ex. cowardly--tell about a situation in which the character exhibited cowardice---this is merely and example)
