Algebra 3 plus Statistics Supply Listing

Students must have their binders/material supplies up-to-date at all times!  A zero will be given for a day’s assignment(s) if a student does not have the required material on a day for which such is called.

1. Three-ring Binder w/ Pocket Dividers    two-inch binder is recommended; however, any type or size will do as long as it is made for 8.5” x 11” sized paper.  The required contents of this binder can be found in your course syllabus.

2. Spiral-Bound Notebook   8.5” x 11” college ruled – you may need to purchase more as the year progresses.

3. Loose-Leaf Paper 8.5” x 11” college ruled – you should have an ample supply at all times.

4. Quarter-Inch Graph Paper           with three-ring holes – you should have an ample supply at all times.

5. Pencils (Sharpener)          Mechanical pencils (with sufficient lead supply) are recommended.  You should have an ample supply of traditional pencils to avoid having to sharpen pencils during class – I do not supply a pencil sharpener in my classroom.  If necessary, you should have a small manual sharpener with you AT ALL TIMES.

6. Multiple Report Covers or Three-prong Folders          for the submittal of completed special projects.

7. Colored Pens        Any color except blue or black – three will probably be sufficient for the entire year.

8. Math Tools colored pencils, manual pencil sharpener for colored pencils, compass, ruler (with both Metric and English standards).

9. Pencil Case/Zipper Pouch           to hold your math tools.

10. Scientific calculator        TI-83 or TI-84 graphing calculator.  Although a bit more expensive, the TI-84 is required by our Pre-Calculus program and will be a calculator that you will use through WCA and FAR beyond into your college and professional life!

11. Classroom Supplies       Guys bring a LARGE box of Kleenex – Ladies bring a stand-up container of pop-up, multi-purpose cleaning wipes (i.e., Mr. Clean, Kaboom, Orange Power, Windex).

12. STRONGLY Recommended (but not mandatory):  To have an updated version of Microsoft EXCEL on your computer -- THIS WILL NOT AFFECT YOUR GRADE IN ANY MANNER AS it is simply an additional tool to have for comparison work with some of our projects!  It is very wise to get used to working with EXCEL as most Business Colleges; Political Science, Psychology & Sociology classes; as well as many College Mathematics & Engineering colleges use its capabilities in conjunction with data collection and processing!
