Course Syllabus Fall 2007
Course
Descriptions:
Art 1 – Introduction to basic art
vocabulary, projects to study of various types of medium, art history, and a
methodical critique of art will be studied.
Art 2 – More advanced methods of the
above will be studied with
independent art projects as well as class projects.
Art 3 – Independent art and art history
study. Student’s interest in different
medium will dictate the area of study.
Grading
Procedures:
Tests and Major Projects 70%
Sketchbook or Homework 30%
Total 100%
Major Projects will be graded as
follows:
50% Participation
25% Execution
25% Skill
100% Total available
project points
Sketchbooks and Projects are an
integral part of the learning process and are expected to be done
promptly. All homework or sketchbook
assignments will be due at the beginning of class unless otherwise noted.

It is solely your responsibility to
make up your work. If you have an
excused absence then you should check with the teacher for assign. on the first day back.
I will expect students to be
accountable and responsible to turn in all missed work as I will not be asking
for it.
Sketchbook assignments are due each
week. If sketchbooks are late 10 points off per
day. There will no late sketchbook
assignments accepted after 1 week.

Third Offense: Discipline from Principle
**Severe
disruptions in class will not be tolerated.
Student will be sent immediately to a school administrator.
