Discuss Water Pollution Legislation hand-out: choose 3 pieces of water pollution legislation to research and provide 2 examples. You must investigate the legislation and the examples.  Report should be a minimum of 2 pages long, typed or written in blue or black ink (4 pages) (cursive, of course).

We will have a Jeopardy review game today and have our first test over Chapter 6 next Monday.

Create an outline of the chapter of important things to know.  Pay close attention to the words in bold/italics. Finish as homework.  This assignment is worth up to 5 BONUS points to add to your test grade. --- Test on Monday.  Students finishing early should study for the test.

 

Week of September 10-14

Monday

I will be on the 8th grade field trip this week so you will have a substitute.  If you need to email me, I will not be able to respond until next week.  Grades will be posted to edline this Friday and again, on Sept.21.  Today, you will watch the Rain forest video.  Students must take a minimum of one page of notes to be turned in at the end of the period.

 Discuss Science Fair Project with each student.  Form#2 passed out – due back on Sept. 26.  On Sept. 17, we will have a research check of background information that students should have gathered by this point.  Read/ Discuss Handout – Venus Express/the greenhouse effect. Complete the attached study guide. Due on Tuesday when we return from break!
