Basic Geometry Syllabus

Course Objective:

The objective of this course is to teach students basic geometric skills and how to use those skills in today's changing world. Students should also gain an understanding of the mathematical order in the world that God created.

 

 

Course of study:

This class will follow the general outline of the following course of study.

 

 

Geometry

1st Quarter

Chapters 1-3

2nd Quarter

Chapters 4-6

3rd Quarter

Chapters 7-9

4th Quarter

Chapters 10-12

 

 

Grading System:

Tests and

Classwork and Homework

Materials Needed:

Geometry Textbook: Geometry , Tools for a Changing World, Published by Prentice Hall 

 

Small three ring binder notebook with paper

 

Pencil

 

Scientific Calculator

 

Compass, protractor, ruler, and graph paper will be required

Please note that this class will require each student to work independently.  Students will be expected to be prepared EACH day.  Failure to adequately prepare for class will result in removal from the class.  Instruction will be individualized and independent instruction provided.
